It's location 80 kilometres from Talampaya and 300 from La Rioja makes Ischigualasto Provincial Park difficult to reach. However, it's such a beautiful place that the effort of getting here is quickly rewarded.

My suggestion

The excursion is generally organised from La Rioja as a combined trip also taking in Talampaya National Park. It's a lot of road travel for a single day. I advise you to organise it all in advance.

My suggestion

Are you a fan of Jurassic Park? Then you'll love the park's impressive dinosaur fossils. Ischigualasto Park has dinosaur fossils that are found nowhere else!
