The capital of Tasmania, Hobart is a charming city by the sea, with a very European atmosphere, superb architecture and a relaxed ambiance.
My suggestion
Hobart is more preferable in the summer, when the city comes a little bit more alive and the temperature is milder. The winters can be surprisingly cold.

Hobart, the capital of Tasmania, is the most southerly town in Australia, the last before the Antarctic! Far from the tourist crowds, Hobart is off the beaten path of most trips to Australia.
My suggestion
Even in the austral mid-summer, the temperatures rarely reach more than 20 degrees. So, remember to take a good jacket and, above all, an umbrella: you have a 4 out of 5 chance of getting caught in the rain.
This part of Australia is unique and distinguishes itself from the other part of Queensland and the rest of the country by its impressive rain forests, deserted beaches, and very diverse animal and plant life. You must have heard people talk about the "wet tropics" which is home 36% of the country's animal species.
