Let’s begin our tour of New Zealand... On the North Island, you will inevitably pass through Auckland. Built between the earth, sea and volcanoes, the city is often symbolized by the famed Sky Tower with its 1078 feet height. What they refer to as the city of sails, due to its magnificent port and the passion of its residents for sailing, will enchant you. It is on the North Island that you can also discover the Maori culture, rendered famous by the Haka, the war dance adopted by the national rugby team the All Blacks. This unique culture, present on the island for more than 1,300 years, will enchant you with its tattoos, its dances and songs but also with its original cooking. On the North Island you can admire the geysers and the hot water springs: relaxation guaranteed! The South Island is known for its incomparable nature. You will hike in the New Zealand Alps rising to their summit on Mount Cook at 12,316 feet. You will find glaciers and snow covered mountains... You will follow the magnificent Milford Sound fjord via a multi-day circuit called Milford Track, considered one of the most beautiful in the world...Perhaps just as splendid, the circuit of Tongariro Crossing will take you along 11 miles amid sleeping volcanoes, for the discovery of an astonishing alpine desert, waterfalls or emerald crater lakes! You finally approach the Antarctic, by visiting the tiny island to the south of New Zealand. Stewart Island is a small Eden of nature which you will admire particularly for its birds who are as rare as they are sublime.
