Our first real adventure as a family of 5 - it was wonderful! We enjoyed the diversity of what we did (fjords, mountains, farm...), the well planned and easy to follow itinerary, the ideas of things to do with the children. We felt this trip was tailored to us, with many special things that were wonderful but didnt feature in our guidebook! Our travel agents were always available for questions, and even invited us to visit them on their farm. We are looking forward to our next trip!
The best parts:
Beautiful country, wonderful landscapes, great places to stay and a lot of fun and very diverse activities along the way!

Thank you Isabelle. It was such a pleasure designing this trip for you and your family. I had so much fun reminding what kind of things my children liked to do when they were young. With a baby of 8 months, and children age 3 and 6, there are so many fun things to do in Norway. With a self-drive round trip, staying in cabins for several nights in a row, and including farm visits (all children love animals!) gave you the opportunity to get to experience several areas. You visiting us at our sheep farm was also a highlight for us. Your children are so cute. I think your oldest daughter wanted to stay here :-) I hope to see you and your family again, when the children are a little older, so we can design a new adventure for you. Big hug from the Fjords, Anne

Our Norway trip

We had a great trip from the agent who helped us organise it through the whole adventure right up to the follow up from our agent. Everything was perfect
The best parts:
I loved the company both guides were lovely and the conversations flowed easily, we learnt a lot about where we were and felt completely comfortable with them.
The worst parts:
It's a slight shame that fjord is so popular it would have been nice to be more isolated but I assume its a popular fjord because its so bloody beautiful which was breath taking!

Hi Keeta, thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. Although your trip in Norway was short, it seems it has been a memorable one. It was a pleasure having you on on of our own activities, the two day guided kayak trip in the Geiranger Fjord. Thank you for choosing Evaneos, and maybe one day we may welcome you back again? Kind regards from the Fjords, Rogier and Anne

We spent two weeks exploring the Northwest Fjords of Norway, really getting off the beaten trail sometimes and staying at some very quaint places. We really got a sense of Norway, the people and it's amazing beauty. We were a group of 6 travelers ranging in age 6 years to 70 years!
The best parts:
We loved seeing the little villages and getting away from the mass tourist, which was what we were looking for! Our agent (Anne) really seemed to know the best places to stay, the best routes to drive and ferries to take to see the beautiful sites in Norway. We also stayed at very unique hotels that we never would have been able to find on our own. Anne even invited us to stop at her Sheep Farm and we learned so much from our conversation with them! It was amazing!
The worst parts:
Beds, part of staying at older places brought not the best beds. For example, staying at Raubergstulen cabins was hard for my very tall husband, beds were very small! I am not sure that our agent (Anne) could have done much about this but it was our least favorite part of some of the hotels.

Dear Kari, thank you for your review and the wonderful pictures you posted. It has been such a pleasure organizing this trip for you. It was extra special that we were able to arrange a visit at the farm in Sogn where your ancestors came from. And of course that you and your family came to visit us. I am sorry to hear about the beds, I will pass this comment on. Thank you for choosing us, and maybe some day we will meet again. Big hug from Nordfjord, Anne

It's hard to pick a single favorite moment. It seems every time we came to a turn in the road, we found a scene more beautiful than the last.
The best parts:
We saw some of the most beautiful places in the world and met some extraordinary people Our local travel agent, Anne, found small villages, inns, and historical hotels that we would never have been able to find on our own and from reading tour guides. Anne was very collaborative, working with us by email and phone to plan to perfect trip for our needs. If there were a Nobel Prize for travel agents, we would nominate Anne.

Dear Miles, thank you for taking the time to write a review, and of course thank you for the nomination :-) Since you are a seasoned traveller I reckoned you were up for a scenic road trip/self-drive through Fjord Norway and you did it! Combined with the cruise from Ålesund to Lofoten, and some days to explore the exotic Lofoten Islands, it was indeed a memorable trip. I am so happy that everything worked out well. I even heard from another guest that you met on the ferry over the Nærøyfjord, what a coincidence! It was a pleasure working with you and whenever you want to come back to Norway, we will be here to help you. Kind regards from the sunny Fjords, Anne

The best parts:
Anne took care of everything! She worked with my husband and I to customize a trip based on our personal tastes and budget. The hotel selections were perfect, the excursions and hiking was awesome, she even made sure the weather was fair for our long hikes!

Thank you Terri for leaving a review. You are two tough hikers, you did some of the most demanding hikes in Norway and you did it (I am not going to take the credits for organizing the weather :-)) I am so happy you enjoyed your self-drive and the hotels we picked for you. I hope we can welcome you back some day. Big hug from the Fjords of Norway, Anne

We had 6 days in Norway. We started in Stavangar and made our way to Bergen via rental car. The route was perfectly planned by our travel agent, Anne. We had fantastic hiking and stayed in some phenomenal B&B's. We had such a wonderful trip! Our favorite hike was definitely Trolltunga.
The best parts:
We loved all of the hiking we were able to do in our itinerary. It was perfect! Also, the B&B's were fantastic, especially in Lyseboten!

Norway
Norway is by far the most beautiful country we have visited. The diversity of the landscape, the abundance of water in the fjords and waterfalls and the snow frosted lakes and mountains as we drove round in our 9-seater van were breathtaking. Kayaking, camping, the fjord safari, glacier-crossing, driving and hiking made the trip rich with activity and the variety of accommodation options: luxurious hotel, standard hotel, tent, cabin, etc. made us feel that we had been through an adventure we did not want to end. Evaneos and Norway Adventures were true to their commitment and we strongly recommend them to manage your choices and carry them through.
The best parts:
The best part was the level of organisation of the trip starting with the itinerary that exceeded our expectations because it addressed the requests we communicated during our first and only phone call with our amazing guides Rogier and Anne. From then on, we appreciated the intense email follow up and the timely responses to our queries. Once in Norway, the itinerary was executed without a hitch as we had been briefed about the smallest nuances ahead of our travel.
The worst parts:
There were no bad parts at all. One of the hotels was less luxurious than all the others and we were aware of that ahead of the trip; it was our choice to stay in a 3-star hotel for that night. Nonetheless, the hotel was spotless.

Dear Muna, thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. Your group of 8 did wonderful in Norway, I am so proud of you. Partially self-drive (with a mini van is not always easy). And you did quite some challenging hikes all on your own (with our assistance/instructions). I am impressed. We are happy that you also joined us on our kayak adventure in the Geiranger Fjord. It has been a pleasure helping you make this dream trip come true, and we hope to welcome you back to see the Northern Lights with us. Kind regards from the Fjords, Rogier and Anne

Here's an email I sent to Anne when we got home. She was great! Hi Anne, We are home and I wanted to email you and thank you for everything that you did for our trip. Each part of it was so well organized and everything ran incredibly smoothly. We were so impressed with your planning and also with your country in general. It is beautiful there and also really well organized! Each thing that we did was fun and beautiful and we were glad that we got to see and experience so much of the county. Thanks for helping to make that possible for us! You are really good at what you do and I will definitely recommend you to anyone else I know who might want to head to Norway! Take care and thanks again, Julianne

Thank you so much Julianne for taking the time to fill out the review. You had quite a wish list coming to Norway and you did it :-) : hike the Pulpit rock near Stavanger, scenic train from Oslo to Bergen, cruise the famous Geiranger Fjord, and bus/train back to Oslo. All within one week: wow! I am so happy you enjoyed it and everything worked out well. It was a shame we did not have the time to take you on a kayak tour in the Fjords this time. Welcome back to Norway whenever you are ready for more adventures here. Hug from the Fjords, Anne

We spend a few days in Oslo and then took the train to Myrdal. After hoping on the train to Flam we got off on the first stop a family owed hiking hotel. Loved the smallness of it and hikes awaiting out the door. Train to flam then ferry on the fiord and then bus to Stalheim. Again, smaller hotel with great food and great hikes. Bus to train to Bergen and two days and one night in Bergen. Finally LOVELY ferry ride to Stalvag! OMG - we loved that ferry ride along the coast. We were met at the dock by the owner of the hotel and he became out best friend, He loaned us his car and took us for tour on his fishing boat. Fabulous food, friendship and locale - and we had the chance to meet Anne. She is truly a professional. Every aspect of you trip was outlined to the minutes with tips. Loved the fact that she set up a Whatsapp group so I felt that she was there if ever we needed it. BRAVO!
The best parts:
Anne - our local contact - was great about listening to what type of things we enjoyed and integrating that into our travel. We loved her suggestions for small family run hotels ad the hiking. As you know, Norway is a big place and I feel she put together a trip in which we were able to experience a variety of places.
The worst parts:
No much. There was a touristy restaurant in Bergen that I found on Yelp that was a big disappointment but that had nothing to do with you guys!

Thank you so much Tyrie. I am so happy you enjoyed your trip. It was so fun meeting you in Kalvåg, in our home region, which turned out to be your favorite :-) Please come back some day and paddle kayak with us, you will love it. Hug to you and George, Anne

All terrific
The best parts:
Anne and Rogier. This was our second “Evaneos” vacation experience. Like the first with our agents in Iceland, our Norway hosts (Anne & Rogier) were superb. They took the bits of information we provided on the website and delivered a “dream trip” of 10 days including perfectly matched hotels (and the best rooms in each), vessels, kayaking, camping, rail, and valuable tips only a dedicated professional insider could possibly deliver. We will highly recommend both agencies in Iceland and Norway and hope to have more opportunities to use the services Evaneos provides.
The worst parts:
Not enough time in Norway

i took my parents (in mid 60's) and wife to northern Norway for an Arctic cruise. Flew into Tromso and stayed a night there and went out Northern lights watching which was 2 hour coach drive a forest lodge away from city lights near finish border. Got lucky with a stunning display. then explored the tromso by day incl cable car ride to peak for incredible views. Then borded a Hurtigrutten ship for 2 nights sail further north through frozen fjords past Game of Thrones style ice cliffs with an amazing excursion to north cape. With some further northen lights viewing from deck at night. Ship was very comfortable. We took ship all the way round to Kirkeness which is right way round tip of norway near russian border. We then stayed in the Snow hotel and took part in 4 hour snow mobile ride all the way to the russian border across frozen fjords and snow filled forests.. simply amazing location. With 220 huskys kennelled on site its a dog lovers dream. Loved that place.
The best parts:
From start to finish my experience dealing with Evaneos and Anne in particular was exceptional. When Anne originally replied to my request for quotation she took on bord my wish to build something with my fathers slight mobility issues. I shared my wish to inspire my father more around his interest in environmental research. Not only did Anne come back with the perfect package but with also the added bonus of a 2 hour meeting with a research scientist in Tromso through her own personal contacts. This just blew my mind and it's personal touches like this makes dealing with Evaneos truly special. The hotels were all excellent with fantastic top class excursions arranged, too. I genuinely couldn't fault a single thing. The added personal touch from Anne just made it all the more enjoyable to create and make my family's dream holiday come through.
The worst parts:
Genuinely couldnt fault a thing..

We left Kiel on 29 December on a cruise, it has been a fantastic experience, we enjoyed the views, food and activities during the cruise. Then we arrived in Oslo and we visited the Nobel Museum then the Historic Museum and in the evening the Opera House. We traveled during the winter holidays, and on NYE and 1 January the touristic activities were closed.Even doe, we enjoyed the Sculpture Parc on the 1 January and on NYE, we went to a norwegian party at Walmans. We like it very much, here we meet very nice peoples and we can say that norwegians are kind and smart. The accommodation was clean, and the staff was friendly. Of course we tried to see the Northern Lights, unfortunately in none of the three nights spent in Oslo only the Moon and the stars were present. On the second of January we left Oslo on cruise boat. It has been a great experience!!! Anna and Rogier have done a great job with the reservations and advice. Thank you Evaneos !
The best parts:
Cruise from Kiel to Oslo Party at Wallmans Sculpture parc Accommodation

Thank you Elizabeth for taking the time to give us feedback. It was a challenge to fit all your wishes into a limited period of time, and at the same time providing you with a variated program. I am happy we succeeded and we agree on the improvements! You are welcome to come back, we will be happy to help you. And when you all start training now, we will try to fit in the famous 11-hour hike to Trolltunga the next time. Velkommen tilbake!

From Lofotens to Trondheim, from Geiranger to the Land of Giants, Jotunheimen, from Geilo to charming old wooden city of Bergen, from Sognefjord to Stavanger and Pulpitt Rock, this one probably was one of the most successful vacations to date. Scenery ranging from breath taking to absolutely surrealistically beatiful, wonder of kayaking towards the midnight sun with the full moon behind you, over the mirror like waters of the fjords, amidst the jagged peaks... Roaring of waterfalls falling from the cliffs... Stark beauty of the highlands... Haloed history of the Vikings, captivating architectural feats of the old and modern alike...
The best parts:
My journey was most meticulously planned, aimed at showing the best, giving the best, captivating and prompting to come back. Highly professional and at the same time very personal service by Rogier's agency leaves a lingering sensation of being at home, being welcome and valued. It puts them at the top of a large number of the tour operators experienced to day
