A visit to the oasis of Huacachina gives you the opportunity to discover a little-known side of Peru. Did you know that there is an oasis in the middle of a desert located south of the capital?

My suggestion

I strongly recommend going for a trip in a beach buggy, which will also give you the chance to do a spot of sand surfing! It's the perfect kind of activity for thrill seekers.

My suggestion

If you are looking for really authentic spots during your trip to Peru, then a few hours will be enough here. It's likely you'll quickly get tired of the "gringo" atmosphere.
