This little town located in the Carpathian foothills of Lesser Poland contains a major historic building, the Bernadine monastery. It also has other fascinating places to visit, such as the large Jewish cemetery.
My suggestion
Visit Leżajsk's Jewish cemetery, which is as beautiful as it is emotionally moving. The tomb of the Hasidic rabbi Elimelelkh of Lijensk, an important figure in Polish Judaism, is to be found there. It is still an important place of Jewish pilgrimage today.
