Cerro Castillo is the highest point in the natural park with the same name. The Carretera Austral passes through it, as well as the Sendero de Chile. For all hikers!
Visit Cerro Castillo
Cerro Castillo: How to get there?
3 hours 40 minutes from Calafate in Argentina and 45 minutes from Puerto Natales in Chile
Cerro Castillo: When to go?
All year round but be careful, snowfalls between June and August can mean the border crossing point is closed.
Cerro Castillo is a border crossing point in Patagonia, between Argentina and Chile, on the road between Calafate on the Argentine side and Torres del Paine national park on the Chile side.
My suggestion
Check the opening and closing hours of the border crossing which vary according to the season. It's not open 24/7 and it would be a pity to have to go backwards!

My suggestion
Once you get to Villa Cerro Castillo you have two options: continue south on the Carretera Austral or go to Puerto General Ibáñez to cross Lake General Carerra and carry on in Argentina.
