Lying 260 km from Delhi is Jaipur, aka the Pink City, the capital of the fabulous region of Rajasthan.

My suggestion

The festival of colors, Holi, which takes place in March or April, is one of the country's biggest celebrations, and is especially brilliant in Jaipur.

My suggestion

Like a lot of Indian cities, Jaipur is a heavily populated city, and it's noisy with a lot of traffic. That's something to see on any stay in northern India but I also recommend the surroundings, such as the Amber Fort.

Jaipur is the capital of the state of Rajasthan, the Land of the Maharajas. It is nicknamed the Pink City, due to the color of a large proportion of its buildings.

My suggestion

Go and see the magnificent Hawa Mahal palace and its superb, ornate facade containing almost 1000 windows. You will come away from it with a nice memory and a very beautiful photo.
