A town on the northern coast of Peru, near to the border with Ecuador.
My suggestion
If you are planning to stay in the area, choose instead to stay at Zooritos, still a quiet little fishing village for now but about to become a leading seaside resort.

A border city with Ecuador, Tumbes is perfectly situated by the sea which confers upon it some magnificent beaches.
My suggestion
The seafood there will have you licking your fingers! I suggest that you try the delicious ceviche during your stay in Tumbes, as it is a Peruvian speciality, but also a local one, with the city being by the sea.
Huaraz is the perfect departure point for excursions into both the Cordillera Blanca and the Cordillera Negra. It's in the heights of the Sierra that you will truly discover all the fantastic features that the Ancash region has to offer.
Arriving in Iquitos by air gives a foretaste of what awaits you in the dense jungle. From above, all you see is a thick forest that covers the land as far as the eye can see, where only the river and its tributaries stand out from an immense green carpet.
Located between the Selva and the Cordillera of the Andes, the Huancavélica and Cerro Pasco region will put you under its spell, with its incredible landscapes, the welcoming nature of the local inhabitants and the old traditions that are still very much alive
Having only just arrived at Puno we're drawn to Lake Titicaca! Nevertheless, it's a good idea to pay a visit to this old port town before setting off to discover the floating islands of the Urso or indeed, towards the calm and peaceful Amantani and Taquile.
