The Beskids Massif extends over 600 km of the Czech Republic to Ukraine, crossing all of southern Poland to the Slovakian border. The range doesn't include any high mountains, but relatively rounded and green mountains raising up between 1,000 and 2,000 metres. The nature there is often quite flourishing with a fairly significant fauna and flora. I had the opportunity to go to the western Beskids on the borders of Poland and the European Union and I was impressed by the beautiful landscapes of the hills covered in forests of fir trees, and by the numerous villages which still house traditional churches all in wood, perfectly preserved. A slightly timeless place, which I would recommend to travellers looking for a destination which is off the beaten tracks.
