A beautiful corner of undisturbed nature, the Pieniny National Park boasts a stunning panorama of hills and small mountains which reach around 1000 metres. It's a perfect nature spot which is home to a great many species of plants and animals. The Pieniny Valley also boasts various streams and lakes, perfect for kayaking and rafting enthusiasts. The Dunajec river, which marks the border with Slovakia, is particularly well-known for its magnificent gorges and canyons. The Pieniny National Park offers around 40 kilometres of hiking trails, which I was able to enjoy myself. I was particularly impressed by the ascent to the summit of the Three Crowns (tri koruny), which rewards hikers with a breathtaking panoramic view of nature and the surrounding peaks. A peaceful, tucked-away spot which is a must-visit for anyone planning a trip to Poland.
