Dalat is an old mountain resort that was built for the colonists of French Indochina when they sought out cooler temperatures. Today, it remains an outdoor destination with mountains, waterfalls, and of course, the cool temperatures.

My suggestion

It is built on a mountain and therefore yes, it can get cool or even cold there, especially in the evenings - so make sure you have a fleece to keep you warm.

My suggestion

The best way to get about in Dalat is by scooter. It's practical for exploring the town and its surroundings. And, as all the hotels rent them fairly cheaply, why hesitate?
